To have to deal with cancer is huge, especially when young and I wanted to do something to help ease the suffering.Thinking about what these teenagers have to go through makes my efforts feel insignificant and helps me keep going when I just want to stop!

On December 4th, I’m running 100km around the Hunua Ranges to raise money to support teenagers with cancer. Being unable to help in more practical ways I am using running as a way to help, inspire others, and live life to the fullest.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
