23.5km on the Summit Road & Crater Rim track and finishing at Gebbies Pass. Incredible views as always when it's clear but I never get tired of them! In case you hadn't noticed it is HOT. Apparently "horses sweat, gentlemen perspire and ladies glow" well I sure was glowing today (sweating like a pig)

    Running total: 182.7km

    31.1km (yes I am counting the 0.1 😅) Big excitement: hit 150km!!!

The Port Hills are in a very wet cloud. Despite the grass being soaking today (and very nicely coating me in water and wet grass seeds on every trail) you can tell how dry it is up there already - everything is burnt orange. No visibility but I said I'd take photos today, oh well another selfie ^_^

    Running total: 150.1km

  • Day 6: 9.1km

      6 December 2017

Halfway mark in days! And I'm up to 119km which is over the halfway mark in k's. With a few more long runs planned I'm feeling confident to hit the goal! Pretty tired this morning haha (119km in 6 days will do that to a person) so I did two mile repeats to wake me up...! Tomorrow is a hill day. Looking forward to it!

25km this morning which puts me at 110km!! Halfway there a day ahead of schedule :) Started at 5am under the light of the supermoon! It had vanished into the daylight by the time I reached the top of Mt Vernon. Gorgeous skies anyway! Happy to manage a 6:08/km average despite pretty tired legs.

  • Day 4: 13km

      4 December 2017

1/3 of the way through!! A bit of a smaller mileage day today after 3 fairly big days. Hopefully this will recover the legs a little for some more mileage tomorrow - will be attempting to crack the 100km mark! Laps of Hagley Park are great when tired, no focus and attention needed ;)

    Running total: 84.8km

  • Day 2: 21.6km

      2 December 2017

Day 2 complete for a running (ha) total of 53.3km! This included Parkrun, which I have just recently started doing as I now live practically in Hagley Park and have no excuse not to ;) So I did 20.52 for the 5km, which is a PB (but not as exciting as it might be since it is only my third 5km lol).

Day 1 complete! Run from home to Sumner via the Crater Rim - starting at 5:30am to fit it in before work! Off to a good start I think ^_^

I planned to take a photo of the amazing view of Lyttelton Harbour from the trig at the top of Mt Pleasant - but my plans were foiled by a cloud sitting on top of it, so you get a selfie instead hahaha ;)
