2023 Taniwha-thon Cricket. 24 Hours, 20,000 balls, $20,000

Kia ora e te whānau. One of the Taniwha Cricket Team's core values is Whanaungatanga - A sense of connection and belonging. This fundraiser connects us to our chosen charity (The Swans Nest) and our community (Porirua/Wellington).

Swans and Taniwha are combining to help provide support and advocacy for whānau who have children with complex and life limiting conditions. No public support services exist in the Wellington Region. Our goal of $20,000 helps The Swan Nest towards their goal of having their own premises for their therapies and support services for 30+ families.

9th-10th September, 10am to 10am at Ngati Toa Domain (Mana Indoor Nets) we and anyone who wishes to come and support (or even have a bat and bowl with us) will be doing a continuous 24 hour cricket session.

In 2022, we managed 10,000 and $10k that provided families with 2 terms worth of therapies and Swans Nest services. This year we're going all out and with your support, we'll smash it again and deliver for our great charity and the invaluable mahi that Nicola, Graeme and their team do. Karawhiua!! Give it heaps!!
