The Swan Nest

NEW WELLINGTON CHILDREN'S HEALTH CHARITY, The Swan Nest - Governed by The James Swan Charitable Trust NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT so they can help hundreds of families in The Greater Wellington Region.

When the unimaginable happens and a families life is forever altered when their child is diagnosed with a complex serious health condition or terminal illness we will be there every step of the way walking alongside these families so they don't feel alone on their incredibly difficult journey.

For these children and their families, each day can be like swimming upstream; each wakeful moment requires strength, courage and resilience. This can become overwhelming and the importance of knowing you are not alone on this journey is key.

The Swan Nest is a place of compassion, care, support and respect. We are here to support you when you need it and walk alongside you for as long as you need. For families who have children living with complex health conditions or terminal illness, the support continues for you after your precious child has grown their wings.

Our nest will provide: Counselling, play therapy, music therapy, art therapy, physical therapy, individual therapy, bereavement support, advocacy and connectedness all free to the family.

As a new charity grants are incredibly hard to source and the set up costs of such a valuable and important charity are large. We ask that you consider donating to our charity so that the hundreds of families who desperately need out service can access it.

We will be starting with a mobile service with the ultimate goal of having a purpose built facility (nest).

Your support will lighten the load and enhance the lives of many children and their families.

Our ultimate goal: 1Million

Our immediate goal: $300,000

Why: So these children can access therapy that will enhance their lives, provide them with support and allow them to live their best life possible.

Thank you for Supporting The Swan Nest.
