NZ has one of the highest Youth Suicide rates in the world - Help us STAND-UP for the charities that do their best to save our children.

Canterbury

It is our vision as a Martial Arts club to teach people the skills to defend themselves and be confident within themselves physically, mentally and emotionally. It is also our vision to encourage kindness and respect to all individuals. Every second year we take part in a charity fundraising event we have proudly called the ‘24 Hour Stand-Up’. We are only a small club but we pride ourselves on Standing Up for the big issues our youth face!

Our 24 Hour Stand-Up team consists of children as young as 8 through to adults, completing 24 hours of non-stop Martial Arts, and gaining sponsorship to donate to our chosen charity.

This year we have chosen Youthline as our charity! NZ has one of the highest Youth Suicide rates in the world, and as a club we are devastated to see our youth unable to reach out for support and guidance in times of need. As a club that promotes healthy lifestyles and confidence to children, youth and adults, we feel it is important that we are choosing to Break the Silence and Stand-up for our children by offering financial assistance to Youthline, an organisation dedicated to helping young New Zealanders when the times get tough!

Within the 24 Hours each team member has a goal to achieve! These goals keep us going, and are designed to give us motivation when the body starts to fatigue.

We would love your support for this well deserving charity! Help us Stand-Up for our kids and raise awareness for Youth Suicide and how it’s impacting our society!
