Shelali, Darren & Jen are running 52km at Round the Bays, raising money to support Kaibosh’s awesome work tackling food waste in Wellington.
Wellington
With a third of all food produced globally being wasted or lost, food waste is one of the biggest greenhouse gas emitters in our world. A lot of this is unnecessary, and at a local level lots of perfectly good food in Wellington goes to waste while people in our communities go hungry, which is where Kaibosh comes in.
New Zealand's first food rescue organisation, Kaibosh rescues quality surplus food and redistributes it to charities supporting people in need. Each month Kaibosh rescues up to 30,000kg of food, which provides the equivalent of 85,000 meals to those who are struggling in Wellington and the Hutt.
Kaibosh is a bunch of amazing humans doing awesome things for the environment and our local communities. Shelali, Darren and Jen are really proud to be a part of their team for Round the Bays, and help raise funds to support the mahi that they do.

We did it! 5 March 2020
Apologies for the very belated update. We smashed our runs at Round the Bays 2020, goals were met and good times achieved, no one was too sore afterwards and we made $963 for Kaibosh.
Huge thanks to everyone who supported us, that's an awesome donation to Kaibosh and we're very grateful. Ngā mihi nui, Shelali, Darren & Jen
