Fundraising for Achilles International New Zealand
Nationwide
Konoka and I (Markus) are passionate ultramarathon runners, and we’ve been thinking about how we can share the joy of running with people with disabilities.
This August, Konoka will take on the longest distance of her running career—200 miles (320 km) at the Naseby 200 Miler—and I’ll be there to support her every step of the way.
As part of this ambitious endeavour, we’re also aiming to raise funds for Achilles International New Zealand, an organisation that creates opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in running events.
Konoka will run 32 laps of a 10 km loop course, and we aim to raise $100 per lap, totalling $3,200.
All funds raised will be directed to Achilles International NZ to support more athletes with disabilities in achieving their running goals.
We hope this initiative will support even more athletes in finding joy, confidence, and connection through the sport of running.
