A better future is possible for our tamariki and rangitane
Manawatu / Whanganui
Kia Ora Whanau,
On the 27-28th August two bros are looking to raise awareness and financial help for the Lifehouse Te Whare Oranga children's home, by running 4 miles (6.5km) every 4 hours for 48 hours. This is a organisation in the Manawatu that is helping children with damaged beginnings, enter a place of safety, aroha and education to give them a chance to change their future. We have set up this page for any willing to donate and support this cause.
It is about more than one child, Te Whare Oranga will change generations. "It's easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults."
Te Whare Oranga children’s home is on six acres of land near Palmerston North. This rural peaceful environment is ideal for children who have come from challenging backgrounds.
Lifehouse Te Whare Oranga recognise that access to the natural environment and meaningful activities promote positive wellbeing and mental health. Whether it is checking for eggs, growing vegetables or simply talking to the cows. We believe children can be calm and thrive in natural environments.
The home is designed to feel welcoming and warm, while still meeting the needs of children who call Lifehouse – Te Whare Oranga home.
Transforming communities through housing and education. Lifehouse - Te Whare Oranga's mission is to write a new story for New Zealand children, young people and families by providing housing solutions, homes and education.
