Fundraising for The Little Miracles Trust
Canterbury
Finding out at 24 weeks pregnant that I’d be having my third baby at 32-34weeks as an optimistic outcome came as a huge shock. But I genuinely thought it had given me enough time to “prepare” for what was to come and the NICU time my baby would have.
Little did I know, nothing could prepare me for what was to come.
We, very gratefully, had a straight forward time in NICU, but the struggle of being away from my other children, the financial struggles of travel daily and of course, the emotional side of having both a traumatic birth and then navigating NICU life, The Little Miracles Trust provided a support that I didn’t not know was needed until it was needed.
Care packs, cot-side support, supermarket vouchers and it doesn’t just end with the families. They also provide fundraising for equipment and nurse training.
So for “Neonatal November” I am helping them fundraise to continue the support that they offer. I will be walking 10,000 steps every day of November.
Thanks in advance to anyone who is able to donate. A plaque I read daily as I walked into NICU said “Mighty Oaks from Little Acorns Grow” and I want to leave you with this thought that any little amount you can give, can have a mighty positive impact for families navigating NICU x
