Age (Alan) Vallinga died unexpectedly on 26 April 2021 in his home, with the love of his life Rosalind nearby. Adored by many, Age lived his life with passion and pizzaz. He loved deeply. He was charming, lighting up a room with his loud laugh. He was erudite and well read. He was tenacious, determined to do what needed to be done. Born into a wonderful family in the Netherlands, he followed his heart to New Zealand where he raised his family with total devotion.
In lieu of flowers, Age and his family would love it if donations were made to the NZ Women's Refuge in support of their vision for all women and children in Aotearoa New Zealand to live free from domestic and family violence. This is a charity Age supported much of his life.

Thank You for Your Generosity - Age in Memoriam 14 September 2021
It is hard to believe that almost 5 months has passed since we lost Age from our lives. Thanks to you all, the last act in Age's name was a donation of $3,576.00 to the New Zealand Women's Refuge. Your generosity in his memory will help allow more women and children to live free from violence and fear.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your gestures and words of support during this time.
