Aimee's birthday fundraiser for cancer research!

Hi I'm Aimee, and instead of receiving presents this for my 18th birthday this year I want to collect donations for the Cancer Society! My birthday is the 6th of May but I thought I would start as early as possible! The Cancer Society not only support those with cancer, but fund world class research and advocate to ensure the government takes action on cancer. In previous years I have donated to the starship foundation, however this year I've chosen to donate to the cancer society as they focus solely on cancer. I thought donating would be the best way to honour the two people who I have lost to cancer, my good friend Lucy Drake (featured in the cover pic), and more recently my Pa, who was always so supportive in the fundraising I did to remember Lucy. Unfortunately cancer is a big part of most our lives as New Zealanders, everybody knows someone who has been affected by it. Every day 71 people are diagnosed with a form of this disease, and your donations can make sure that the people who have been affected get looked after well, and their loved ones get to spend as much time with them as they possibly can. I would appreciate any donations, big or small, or if you're unable to donate, spreading the word helps too !
