Raising money to help disadvantaged and vulnerable cats and dogs.
On 12th February I will be running 160km to support Bay of Islands Animal Rescue (BOIAR) so that they can continue to make an enormous difference in so many lives.
A year ago we adopted our Sunny dog from BOIAR. They do an amazing job, and receive no government funding to support their work. To date BOIAR has re-homed over 3000 dogs as well as hundreds of cats, horses, sheep, pigs, cows, ducks, chickens and even rabbits and alpaca. They also provide an ongoing de-sexing programme as well as educating on how animals should be cared for.
Every animal deserves to be happy, healthy and loved. Please help by contributing to the care of these vulnerable animals.
190km's over four days 21 February 2022
Thank you to everyone for your support. We ended up running around 190km's over four days through the Timber Trail in the Waikato.
A beautiful part of the country with a lot of history. The forest was full of bird song, the trail well marked and by the end I was a lot less anxious about crossing all the swing bridges 😅
We met some lovely people along our way, including some who decided to donate to our fundraising too ☺️
Thanks so much Tom!!
Thank you for your support. Very much appreciated :)
