Barfoot & Thompson Orewa are getting behind Jammies in June to keep kids warm this winter.Donate as little as $10 or drop PJ's to our branch
Auckland
Approximately 125,000 children live in Counties Manukau; 48% of these children live in areas of high socio-economic deprivation.
Damp housing contributes to sickness in the South Auckland community. During winter there is an influx of patients entering Middlemore Foundation with preventable illnesses such as rheumatic fever, skin infections and respiratory diseases. This can be helped by keeping our children warm.
Jammies in June is now in its eighth year giving pyjamas, blankets, beanies, socks and slippers to children in need and we want to be part of the change.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
DONATE - $10 will buy one set of PJ's that will go straight to a child in need.
DROP OFF - Drop off PJ's, blankets, beanies, socks and slippers to our branch.
SHARE - Spread the word!! If 100 people donate $10, that's 1000 pairs of PJ's on kids backs.
6000 children are admitted per year for housing-sensitive hospitalisations. Help us change the odds.
Note - Pre-loved PJ's are accepted as long as they're in good condition, meaning no rips, holes or stains.
Our branch contributes to the Jammies in June drive every year and this year is especially tough.
