This weekend I am putting my cooking skills and reputation on the line to support the Bayleys Plate Up For Purpose Event
Canterbury
This weekend, John ‘Little Spoon’ Ladley, GM, South Island - Beef + Lamb New Zealand will be in the kitchen along with other Canterbury Business leaders supporting the Christchurch City Mission’s Back to School program.
Supporting this fundraising event fits nicely with both my values and that of Beef + Lamb New Zealand, fronting up, positivity and confidence, pushing boundaries, caring about quality and impact and finally all voices count. Supporting those that are in need of a leg up in today’s world is a great way of giving back to our wider community.
The event this, Saturday, February 27, 2021, will see a number of Christchurch Business leaders putting together a 3-course meal along with the support of 3 local top chefs from Christchurch who will be leading us on the night. There will be 200 invited guests on the night, and all proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the City Mission, ensuring we can keep helping those families who come to us in their time of need which in this case are children who need a fair start at education
We are not only tasked with cooking on the night but also to create awareness and seek donations with the goal of raising $5,000 to support this fantastic cause. I encourage you to dig into your pocket and support this fantastic cause.
Many thanks
John
