Justin ‘Raw Power’ Vaudrey, Owner Operator New World Durham Street
What is your cooking experience? Entry level to basic
What is your signature dish? Whatever the Deli Team have created!
Why are you putting yourself on the line? As a locally owned and operated business we are already heavily involved in the Missions community work and in particular the annual Brown Paper Bag appeal. So when this opportunity came along to be involved with Plate up for a Purpose it only made sense to get involved. I'm nervous about putting myself out there on February 27th, but more than willing to have a crack for a great cause! By getting involved we are actively displaying Durham Street New Worlds commitment to our communities.
The City Mission pays $300,000 a year (from its fundraising) towards the school costs of children from struggling families who have nowhere else to turn. Your help is really needed. You will transform the lives of local children and give them a fairer chance at education and life.
Please help me support the City Missions fundraising efforts!
The Christchurch City Mission runs 13 services including the Back to School programme, emergency foodbank, separate men's and women's emergency night shelters, addiction counselling, men's and women's day programmes.
Taking business leaders out of their boardrooms and into their community to raise crucial funds for the Mission’s Back to School programme.
