What is your cooking experience?
I love cooking for my family but cooking for hundreds of people, and being judged, is definitely way out of my comfort zone!
Why are you cooking to help disadvantaged Canterbury children get a fair start in education?
Reflecting on 2020 I feel so grateful to be living in New Zealand and wanted to start the year by giving something back. So on Saturday, 27 February at Christ’s College Dining Hall, I’ll be joining some of Christchurch’s top business leaders for a charity event like no other. It’s called Plate Up for a Purpose.
Plate Up is a wonderful event run by Christchurch City Mission that is purely focused on ensuring all Canterbury children start their school year with the correct uniform and school supplies.
So how does it work? I’ll be donning my chefs hat and teaming up with my colleagues to cook a wonderful meal for all invited guests. I love cooking at home but I have to say that cooking for hundreds of people, and being judged, is a little bit out of my comfort zone! But it’s all about having fun with a genuine purpose. Our MC for the evening is Oscar Knightley and it will be a fun night with a great group of people.
Thank you so much for supporting this great cause.

Thanks for your support! 18 February 2021
Thanks everyone for your generous donations, not long now until the cook-off! It would be great if you can share my donation page around with your networks too.
