Participating in Big Challenge for Little Kids 2023
Nationwide
Hi I'm Brad Watson from The Hits NZ (drive show with Laura McGoldrick)...
As a dad with a child who is Deaf (my one-year-old boy Finny), I understand firsthand the love you have for a kid who has some big challenges ahead of them.
Camp Quality support families who are going through the hardships that a cancer diagnosis brings. Their camps offer respite for parents and a place for kids living with cancer to belong.
With no government funding, Camp Quality is reliant on generous donations to help make camp happen for these awesome kids. Many of them miss out on school, birthday parties and school camps - the kind of stuff that makes being a kid awesome. They also have ongoing impacts from their cancer journey, even once they're in the clear.
So on Sunday 3rd September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month), I'm jumping 18,000ft (with a 75 second free fall!) to play a small part in helping to fundraise for the work Camp Quality do. They bring smiles, laughter and joy back into the lives of children living with cancer, which helps to make up for some of the hard stuff they've been through. These camps happen all over the motu and have been running for nearly 40 years to build resilience and hope in these kids.
With your help we can make sure camp happens for tamariki living with cancer into the future.
Thanks for your support!
THE SKY'S POSTPONED MY DIVE 4 September 2023
So yesterday's skydive from 18,000ft was postponed due to bad weather, and I'm so ok with that haha, it's scary enough as it is, let alone a rough flight etc!
Give us more time to raise some money for Camp Quality though...
Are you ready to challenge yourself AND make camp happen for children living with cancer?
Thank YOU Emma!
Maddie you are a top human.
SHAZZY coming through for the kids - Thanks ol' mate!
