Bikepacking challenge for the City Mission, Christchurch

$1,315 of $1,000 goal
Given by 29 generous donors in 8 weeks

Pedaling 1000km across the North Island - Cape to Cape - hoping to raise a few funds for the fantastic work of the City Mission

Canterbury

I've been collecting leftover food from Christchurch cafes for almost 2 years with a bunch of other cyclists called 'The Mish'. We were recently featured on TVNZ Breakfast show. I drop it off early in the morning at the City Mission night shelter.

This small contribution is so appreciated, the staff are so welcoming and committed, the need is so great that I wanted to do more.

I'm taking on the Kopiko Aotearoa bikepacking challenge. I will ride from Cape Egmont to East Cape - 1000km in 14 days. It will be self supported. I follow a specific route set by the Kennett brothers. I will have a tracker so my progress can be followed. There will be 200 other mad bikepackers doing it too.

Life is hard sometimes for some women, men and children. Sometimes it's a life long struggle. The City Mission is there for people in their struggles and also trying to help before they fall.

I'd like to try, with your help, to raise $1000 to support the City Mission's work.

I'm a cyclist who volunteers collecting leftover food from Christchurch cafes and takes it to the City Mission. We're called 'The Mish'. The City Mission does lots of amazing stuff for people in difficult times in their lives. I'd like to try help too.
