🚵🏻♂️ Biking for Bravehearts ❤ - Central South Island Charity Bike Ride 2021
We are a team cycling 365kms in February, raising awareness, & fundraising to support Heart Kids South Canterbury, & seven other charities.

❤ We are a group of Heart Kid family members and supporters who have signed up for the Central South Island Charity Bike Ride for the 18th, 19th, and 20th of February 2021. We will each be riding 365 kms from Timaru, to Tekapo, to Kurow, and back to Timaru over three days.
❤ We are riding to support our local Heart Kids South Canterbury branch as we one of the fortunate charities to receive support from this amazing event. Seven other local Charities are also supported by the fundraising efforts.
❤ Our team consists of five Committee Members / Heart Parents / Heart adult:

♥️ Kirsty Wooffindin
♥️ Bob Merrit (Support Driver)
♥️ We are also fortunate to have Lucy Merhtens and Ian Wooffindin (two Heart Kid Grandparents), and
♥️ Brendan Milne (Pleasant Point Lion) & Phil Buckman join our team.
❤ We are a mix of new and experienced riders in the event.
❤ Each rider has a goal to raise $500 and a receipt book. If anyone donates more than $300 you can get your name on the ride jersey, or for $500, you get your logo on the jersey. We have been fundrasing and gathering sponsorship for our efforts. Every little bit counts and makes a difference.

❤ Here are just some facts about Heart Kids
♥️ Heart Kids is a charity and receives NO government funding
♥️ All money raised locally STAYS local to help with local families.
♥️ 1 in every 100 babies born has a congenital heart defect (CHD)
♥️ There are over 40 major defects known
♥️ In NZ there are over 550 MAJOR heart surgeries performed each year - that isn't counting the
minor surgeries
♥️ CHD is for life
