Wellington
Towards the end of the COVID-19 lockdown when I was mulling over finally being able to get a haircut, someone commented on Facebook asking how many likes would it take for my next haircut to be a mullet. I replied that it would take 1,000 likes - and you can guess what happened next...
So, to honour my commitment, and to celebrate the start of Level 2, I'm taking the opportunity to raise some money for charity! I’ve chosen Good Bitches Baking. Their mission is to make New Zealand the kindest place on earth by providing those who are going through some tough times with a baked treat to brighten their day. From families with children in hospital, to women and children fleeing domestic violence, to residents in hospice, Good Bitches Baking is there to give them a moment of sweetness and remind them that people care. They’ve got over 2,300 bakers around NZ, but they run on the smell of an oily rag. A little donation makes a big difference - $25 allows them to share a moment of sweetness with around 100 people.
On the morning of Friday 15 May, Wildflower salon in Lower Hutt will be creating the Bishmullet. For every $1,000 raised, I will wear the Bishmullet for a day, everywhere I go. My goal is $10,000 raised, i.e. 10 days of the mullet!
The Bishmullet will attend Parliament, it will come with me as I get coffee, it will be with me as I take Ladyhawke for evening walks along the Petone Esplanade - so long as the money keeps coming in!
Let's raise heaps of money for Good Bitches Baking, allowing them to continue to make life a little easier for Kiwis in need, and have a bit of fun while doing it.
