Dear people,
One would think that 24hrs would have given me enough time to think of words to describe my gratitude with but no, here I am, at absolute loss for words;
I've been left so speechless and deeply touched by the kindness and beauty of humanity I've had an honor of witnessing while I spent 24hrs stomping on on the track (total of just over 96km according to my calculations!) as well as leading up to it and after it.
From my nursing student friends living on allowances to friends and family around the world to complete strangers - generous donations and encouraging words have kept coming in - they gave me a boost of energy when at 4am after a 5min snooze I pulled shoes back onto my sore feet and carried on walking, time and time again they had me doing a little happy dance in awe of the generosity of you all.
Like the sunrise after the darkness of the night, you lot bring so much light to this world with your kindness and care for people in need.
And you did it guys - the target of $2400 was reached.
However, it was a rather arbitrary target, just something to match the 24th and 24hrs really, so I'll leave this page open for donations for another couple of weeks - all funds raised will go to Kiwi KARE aid organization that's on the ground in Ukraine helping the civilian victims of this terrible war.
Thank you everyone, once more.
Your kindness makes the world a better place.
Slava Ukraini ! 💛💙
With love,
