Bowling for the premature

    Good evening everyone,

    I am pretty tired now and am sore in many different places, but I managed to bowl 1000 balls today. Finished up at arond 7:15 tonight once I had reached the 1000 - I had decided that was the goal a few weeks ago. I didn't get close to the original goal of hitting the stumps 500 times though - that number was around 158.

    More importantly, hopefully this has raised some awareness of World Prematurity Day, as well as the work of The Little Miracles Trust. Thank you again for supporting this cause.

  • The day is almost here

    Good evening everyone,

    First of all, thank you for your donations to The Little Miracles Trust. Tomorrow is World Prematurity Day, which means I now have to do my bit and bowl for 12 hours.

    I will be in the dome at Hamtilon Boys' High School from 8am until 8pm tomorrow. If you are nearby and have some spare time, feel free to come in for some of it. If you would like to, you can bowl in one of the adjacent nets, or even pad up and face a few deliveries. Otherwise, I will post another update tomorrow evening letting you know how I get on.

  • Update

    It's been a while since I posted an update on here, but we have been quietly making progress. We now have a venue booked for this - we will be using the indoor cricket nets in the dome at Hamilton Boys' High School on Sunday the 17th of November. The target is still to hit the stumps 500 times between 8am and 8pm that day. There are also a few young cricketers from the school who have expressed interest in being part of a support crew for the day. We still have a couple of months until the event, and I will keep you posted as we get closer.
