    Kia ora y’all! I’ve had a great week, including an excellent follow up with my ear surgeon/otologist Mr Phil Bird. He’s really happy with how I’m healing and I feel like I’m bouncing back nicely, too (returning to work, being active and even socialising is going well!) I’d love us to raise $500 for Brain Tumour Support because they rock. I even went to my appointment in branded T-shirt and cap. Can you share my story and help me raise $500? We’re so close!     Just a quick recovery update: I got to wash my hair today! Loving my chemo curls! Feeling very tired, but I know that will slowly pass. Can drive and walk and read and taste stuff, so I’m happy. My hearing is still muffled and my ear is still a bit numb but that’s normal and also just takes time. If you have the time, please pass on my story (the fundraiser doesn’t actually close until end of November). Many thanks!

    Recovery is going well - as is the fundraiser! Brain Tumour Support NZ have just sent me their digital flyer so you can see all their great works (which you are now part of!) They’ve also just developed a kid’s Brain Box, including resources for kids.

    Kia ora everyone, surgery was a success and no nasty side effects. Yay! I’ve just got home from hospital and I’m looking forward to a nap. But first I had to celebrating with my new T-shirt from Brain Tumour Support NZ! It’s still IBTA week - if you can share my story, that would be fabulous! Thank so much for your support. We’ve now raised enough for 3 Brain Boxes!

  • Getting my ducklings in a row

    Surgery is tomorrow! Thanks for all your support! Today I’ve just been getting my ducklings in a row - including a session with my exercise physiologist at Christchurch Hospital (light weights and balance work), super yummy lunch at UTRV with Dad and Ali, and packing for tonight at Mum’s, then St George’s Hospital, then Mum’s and then Dad and Ali’s for easy recovery. And I removed my nail polish. I’m ready!
