Running 2,500km to raise funds and awareness for Movember and Blood Cancer NZ
Nationwide
Brovember began as a group of uni mates wanting to do something meaningful for men’s mental health. Last year, we ran over 3,000km, raised $3,000 for Movember, and were even nominated for a New Zealand Movember Award.
This year, Brovember means even more. One of our close friends, Tommy, was recently diagnosed with blood cancer — a shock that’s hit all of us hard. So, this year we’re running not just for men’s mental health, but also for Tommy and every Kiwi and whānau affected by blood cancer.
We’re running with a smaller group of mates this year, but with even more meaning. Our goal is to collectively run 2,500km — approximately the length of Aotearoa plus another North Island. Along the way, several of us will also be shaving our heads in solidarity with Tommy, and to raise awareness for those facing similar battles.
All funds raised will be split between the Movember Foundation (supporting men’s mental health and suicide prevention) and the Leukaemia & Blood Cancer Foundation NZ (supporting Kiwis like Tommy).
Brovember is about mateship, movement, and making a difference. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us show that no one has to face their challenges alone.
Donate to support the cause, join us for a run, or simply spread the word. Together, we can make a real impact — for Tommy, and for all the brothers out there who need it.
Week 1 Round-Up!! 10 November 2025
K Count = 771km
We've got our first round of legends to celebrate!
MVP: A clear winner this week with Nicolai Goggins carrying the boats, clocking a monstrous 84km (that's an average of 10.5km a day!) Unreal effort mate.
Mana Award: Snapped up by the team's backbone, Kirill, for some absolutely clinical performances throughout the week. This included a fresh 5k PB and swapping his Saturday night beers for a 10km run instead!
Enic Award: Goes to Sam, for capturing a stunning shot of the second Bay. Great mahi Sam.
Huge thanks to everyone for the support so far. The boys are loving it, and we've got plenty more to give. The legs are sore, but the spirits are high.
Stay tuned for Week 2!
