Winter Throwdown 2016

CrossFit Central Wellington is hosting it's third annual Winter Throwdown competition. This year we are supporting the Mana House.

Wellington

This year on 2nd July CrossFit Central Wellington will be hosting the 3rd annual Winter Throwdown in association with the New Zealand Society on Alcohol and Drug Dependence.

This event will be fundraising for Mana House recovery accommodation which comes about on the back of our Free Shield Program that we ran in March this year for addicts in recovery around Wellington. It was during this program that we saw first hand the need for initiatives like Mana House and we have made it our goal to increase awareness about addiction as well as raise money to help make a difference.

We will be calling out 15 of the closest CrossFit affiliates in the lower North Island to send one team to compete on the day so please share this link around and help us hit our fundraising target.

As well as the Winter Throwdown we will be hosting an In-house competition at CCW on June the 18th with all proceeds going to this fundraiser.

Both events will be intermediate level, mixed gender pairs, CrossFit competitions calling on the speed, strength, endurance and teamwork of each athlete competing. Most of all we will be having a load of fun and if you are not competing we encourage you to come down and support the athletes on the day. Please donate generously if you can.
