Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser

My names Josh, I am 28 and live with cystic fibrosis.

I myself know how hard this condition is physically, mentally and financially which is why I am raising money for Cystic Fibrosis NZ- This foundation helps support those in NZ that live with this condition.

Cystic Fibrosis is ultimately a terminal condition, primarily affecting the lungs and pancreas (but other organs also).

In the Lungs the sticky secretions make it hard to cough up viruses, bacteria or fungus that may be in there resulting in consistent bouts of sickness/chest infections, continuous deterioration and ongoing hospital admissions, this causes reduced lung function, persistent cough, wheezing shortness of breath and just a general hard time doing everyday things.

In the Pancreases these secretions block the flow of digestive enzymes, without these enzymes fats and vitamins can't be absorbed leading to malnutrition and poor weight gain.

Living with Cystic Fibrosis not only wreaks havoc on the body but is also emotionally/mentally and financially draining.

There is no cure for Cystic fibrosis.

The efforts and money raised will go towards the practical, emotional and financial burden of living with CF and support families all around NZ all money being donated straight to Cystic Fibrosis NZ
