Chairs for Chemo - Taranaki
We need $50,000 to buy, transport and install 6 new chemotherapy chairs at Taranaki Base Hospital - Oncology Department.
TaranakiWhen it comes to cancer, we all know somebody who knows somebody ...
Our names are Julie Gillespie and Jenny Bunn, and we are just two of the many people who have had an experience with cancer.
We have joined forces to help give some comfort to those who are currently walking the cancer journey in Taranaki. We have launched the 'Chairs for Chemo' project to purchase six new specialist chairs for the oncology department to be used by patients going through chemotherapy.
The chairs are designed specifically for this purpose, making it easier for the hardworking nurses to position patients for their treatment and to help keep people as comfortable as possible during the process.
The chairs currently in use are nearly 15 years old, and in their time have had more than 32,000 bottoms sit on them! The current chairs are now proving to be unreliable, with many mechanical issues.
If you would like to help us help some of the many somebodies affected by cancer then please get in touch.
