Nic and Jo - Cycling for the Rural Support Trust

$15,840 of $10,000 goal
Given by 98 generous donors in 6 weeks

We're riding 1125km from Picton to Bluff to raise funds for the Rural Support Trust!

Taranaki

Our goal is to raise awareness of the illness of depression and of the impact depression and suicide has on family, friends and communities. In doing so, we hope to increase understanding and acceptance for people suffering from mental illness.

Funds raised with your support will enable the Rural Support Trust to expand on the valuable work they are doing in our communities to assist people through tough times.

Nicola Luxton Jo Gibbs' involvement (page creator)

We are taking on this challenge having both personally been affected by the suicide of a close family member. We have experienced the devastating impact that depression and suicide can have on families and as farmers, we know how isolating it can be. Our hope is that this ride will reach out to people who are suffering from depression and encourage them to seek support. The Rural Support Trust has an important role to play in our communities and we want to do what we can to support it's work.
