We are fulfilling our dream and want to make a difference: The goal is to collect 20ct for every kilometer of the first leg of our trip.
Wellington
Inspired by the amazing motorcycle traveller community at Horizons Unlimited and motivated by the words of Susan and Grant Johnson, we want to make a difference while fulfilling a long time dream of ours.
The idea is simple: For every kilometer we travel in New Zealand from the start of our trip till our motorcycle gets loaded on a ship in Auckland sailing for Melbourne, we want to raise 20 cents.
The route we are planing for this first leg is 2156 km ... help us make a difference with every one of them.
If you have something to spare, share our desire to decrease world suck or just want to thank us for our regular blog update – think about donating to UNICEF with us.
We do want to make a difference, but we are also aware that we are not the right people to decide how to best convert money into awesome. Therefore, we will be supporting organisations with a good reputation that work in the regions we will be traveling through.
UNICEF NZ is currently active in Laos and Nepal, amongst many other places around the world.
