Fundraising for The Kindness Collective Foundation

Nationwide

This year has been hard for many of us, but over 160,000 children in New Zealand right now are living in poverty and as the cost-of-living crisis worsens, many families are struggling more than ever before. Thousands of children will wake up on Christmas morning without presents, or even food. This year, you can be the reason they unwrap a little bit of joy instead. The Kindness Collective is a nationwide charity that spreads kindness by connecting children and families with the things they need (from everyday essentials to moments of joy).

The Christmas Joy Store is New Zealand’s first social toy store run by the Kindness Collective that provides the gift of kindness. The Joy Store invites referred parents and caregivers to choose gifts and treats for their children they know they'll love, off the shelves, shopping for free. This charity supports thousands of people living in poverty every year through their nationwide programmes and aims to promote a kinder New Zealand, tackling inequity from the ground up, creating long-term, positive social impacts where everyone has the chance to thrive.

This give a little page will enable the charity to purchase gifts for children at discounted rates from their Christmas Joy Store partners.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
