Chop! (Shaving my head)

Chop! Trees? No, I'm about to chop off my hair! The biggest haircut of my life. On November 18 2022 I will shave my head!

But why?!

In short, I want to raise some money for two conservation funds.

I would really appreciate ANY amount of money you are willing to donate to these two conservation funds.

Long version:

Over the past few years I've realized how important conservation is. It's one thing to be able to plant new trees to offset emissions, but it's much harder to replace trees that have been around for hundreds or thousands of years. And the same goes for disrupting high biodiversity, sensitive areas.

My job emphasises how much it takes to try to restore an area to it's original value. I'm currently working on an awesome project where we are realigning and planting native plants into a stream. It's a great project but it would be even better if it had never been turned into farmland in the first place. Every day that I go out to site I think "we wouldn't need to do any of this if we didn't mess it up in the first place".

And for these reasons I want to try to raise some money for two conservation funds. One in BC Canada and one in New Zealand.
