Participating in syd Annual Fundraiser 2025
Otago
Chris is a deputy principal and science teacher at Otago Girls’ High School and has thoroughly enjoyed teaching at the school since 2003. In teaching Chris hope to ignite passion and curiosity for the sciences, particularly environmental science and biology. Chris loves sport, coaching school football and futsal, and in his own time enjoy karate, bouldering, tramping and football.
Chris signed up for the fundraiser to help promote Southern Youth Development. Formal education plays one part in creating our successful future citizens. Youth development and support organisations play a crucial role in supporting rangatahi to become the best version of themselves. Chris thinks this fundraiser will be a fun challenge for them too!
Jessie is the head girl of Otago Girls’ High School for 2025. Jessie has worked extremely hard throughout her life to reach my goals with the help of those around her. She loves helping out those around her whether that is in school or outside of school. In school, Jessie plays many sports, including volleyball, athletics, equestrian, and multi-sport. In her own time, athletics - hammer throw and shot put, horse riding, walking my dog, going to the gym, and listening to music. Jessie is participating in this fundraiser to raise awareness for syd, and didn't hesitate to accept the challenge of being a part of this amazing event. Jessie is very excited to see how much money we can raise, as well as to accomplish something that will be a personal challenge.
Nominate young people, youth advocates, and ANYONE with a passion for rangatahi to step up to the challenge!
