Climbing the Mountain for Shocking PINK
To raise funds for Shocking Pink young womens breast cancer group by climbing Mt Tongariro.

A group of us will climb over Mount Tongariro, on 31st March 2019, fundraising for Shocking Pink. This charity is a support group for young women who are going through the breast cancer ordeal. Having breast cancer in your 20s, 30s and 40s sets you apart from the madding crowd as you’ll find hospital systems, health information and support resources well and truly biased towards post-menopausal women with breast cancer.
Survivor-ship concerns and life after treatment issues particular to us young things include:
Support Groups and Counselling
Fear of recurrence
Relationships with loved ones
Dating and intimacy
Fertility
Diet & Exercise
Finances & Career
Delayed Reconstruction
On a personal note I myself have fought this very awful disease and this group is the most amazing support. We are asking for sponsorship to help these women continue with this amazing group.
