Cold Kahuna - 50cc Charity Scooter Ride from anywhere in NZ to Ohakune (22 July 2023)

We, Stew and Pip, after completing the Napier Scooter Challenge to Wellington in April, have signed ourselves up for another crazy scooter challenge...

Organised by the Jolly Good Chaps, this is the 2nd Annual Cold Kahuna Scooter Ride for charity. Each rider must be on a 50cc scooter/moped, and can ride from anywhere in NZ to Ohakune in the Central Plateau region on Saturday 22nd July 2023.

100% of the rider & supporters ticket sale goes to Awhi Charitable Trust - plus we're trying to raise as much extra cash for them as we can with this Givealittle page!

Awhi Trust is set up to provide support, education and training to Hawke's Bay secondary school youth who are no longer in mainstream education. This is an amazing charity that helps put young people back on a path to education and employment for a brighter future. We are so stoked to be able to support them by doing this scooter ride, so we need you all to donate as much as you can spare!

This is possibly the stupidest thing we've ever done. We have no idea who came up with this insane idea to ride 50cc Scooter over snowy roads, ending up under Mt. Ruapehu in the middle of a NZ winter - but we've got tickets now so there's no turning back. Please make this crazy ride worth it by digging deep and donating what you can.
