Perpetual Guardian CEO Patrick Gamble in the Auckland City Mission Cook-Off
Auckland
The Mission has been working with Aucklanders in desperate need for 100 years, providing immediate relief such as hot meals and crisis support, and pathways to enabling long-term well-being, including ongoing medical care.
This year they need our help more than ever. Because of COVID, one in five Auckland families is now struggling to put food on the table and demand for the Mission’s food parcels has doubled.
Ahead of the event, I’ve committed to raising $5,000, which could provide 37 families with food parcels to cook nutritious meals, and I’d really appreciate your support!
I am joining this particularly worthy fundraising effort a little late so, as an incentive to give generously, I have committed to shave my beard entirely if we achieve our $5,000 goal. Furthermore, in the event we reach $10,000, I will shave, and wear publicly at the event, whatever facial hair style wins the most votes from donors. Leave your vote as a comment beside your donation!
Every $135 we raise will feed a family of four for four days. Whether your contribution is big or small, or if you just show support by sharing the link to this page around, I’d like to thank you for your generosity, it means a lot!
I've put my hand up to participate in the Auckland City Mission's Cook-Off on 21 October, where I’ll be cooking dinner for up to 200 Aucklanders in need.
