My name is Karleigh. I like helping people and the beach. I put the two together as a proud Patrol Supporter with Mount Maunganui Lifeguard Service. The Mauao landslide made me realize what Surf Lifesavers and other emergency services people actually put themselves through for us all. So I will be doing the Ultimate Athlete Beach Run and the OCR race to raise money for Mount Lifeguards and for te Kiwi Māia (the Courageous Kiwi), a charity that supports emergency services people who are going through physical or mental injury due to helping others.
