To raise money for the Salvation Army to assist New Zealanders in need during the Covid-19 lock down.
Otago
So here we are again. It's been over 3 years since my beard was shaved to raise money for an uncle in need and now it seems the rest of New Zealand could use a little help.
In 2014 during the Ebola outbreak in Western Africa, I first shaved my beard to raise some money for Doctors Without Borders to help them control the outbreak of the deadly virus. This year I will be raising money for the Salvation Army who in turn are assisting with the growing demand for food from people who are finding themselves struggling to buy groceries due to the Covid-19 lock down.
Next Wednesday (15th April) I will be filming the shave for all to see and uploading to social media. I'm hoping to raise $2500 and donate to the Salvation Army. I'm starting things off with a $100 donation and if we can reach the target by next Wednesday I'll throw in another $150.
Be safe out there people!
I'd like to help raise money for food and assistance to those in need during the COVID-19 Pandemic
