Cut for Cancer

I have decided it is finally time to cut my hair short! I have had long hair for as long as I can remember and I am excited to give it to someone who needs it more than me. In November, I will be cutting 35.5 cm off!

I will donate my hair to freedom wigs, who will then turn it into a wig which can improve the lives of those who are unable to grow their own hair such as cancer related baldness, alopecia and other hair loss conditions. Freedom Wigs will also donate money from my hair to a charity of my choice which will be the Cancer Society.

Along with the donation from Freedom Wigs, I would like to donate as much as I possibly can to the Cancer Society as they offer a great deal of help and support to people and families who are battling this horrible disease.

I have always wanted to help the Cancer Society, and this is mainly due to the tough battle my Dad fought really hard to win when he was diagnosed and unfortunately he lost a hard fight. I would like to donate as much as I possibly can to the Cancer Society, which will hopefully one day prevent every family from experiencing the hard loss that cancer provides to too many families around the world.

My hair and the money I raise will be in memory of my Dad.

So please help me say goodbye to my beloved long hair! Every cent makes a difference.
