Danielle Tupuanai Viliamu | 16 Years Old | Samoan | Tangaroa college

My name is Danielle Nua Tupuanai Viliamu. I am of Samoan descent and am sixteen years old. I was born and bred in Otara, also known as "the Hood", or Home of the Brave, and I attend Tangaroa College. What I like to do in my spare time is read as well as watch movie series. I am a confident and self-motivated student. I have infinite love and appreciation for my family, church family, and friends. As they are the people who’ve always encouraged and supported me to be my truest self and always strive for excellence. With that, I have a strong will and desire to produce my finest work. In school, I enjoy science-related subjects compared to other subjects, and for this reason, I've joined the health science academy at my school. Biology, chemistry, and physics are my favourite subjects to take in school. The concept of atoms and cells, as well as forces, is really interesting to me. These subjects get me excited to go to school and participate in any activities involving them, such as this camp.

This camp has also introduced me to a new aspect of science. My school rarely investigates space or rocket ships; therefore, this camp has piqued my interest in learning about science in the form of space exploration. I wish to study more about space and many other topics related to it, such as constellations, rocket ship physics and operations, and space science and biology.
