Week Eleven - Mark loses his board shorts

  20 March 2018

Mark has a Question. Read through his update for Week Eleven and get in touch if you know the answer. PS, I also got him in front of the camera but we got photo bombed by cicada's and a nice sea breeze down at mission bay so sorry about the sound quality! After all the effort it took I had to use it!

*Week Eleven*

Monday 12/03/18

61 min indoor rower

Just an easy row tonight after the weekends effort. Usually my average heart rate is between 125 and 135 BPM, tonight my average rate was 109 BPM.

Tuesday 13/03/18

40min cross trainer, 30 min indoor rower, weights

No rest for the wicked, back into it. Average heart rate for the 40min cross trainer was 152 beats per minute. I usually train in the range of 142 – 152 bpm.

Wednesday 14/03/18

Today was my first session with a swim coach. I would like say thanks to Andrew from Boost Coaching for his time and advice.

So the first advice is to lose the board shorts. This is going to be a worry as we don’t want any further people going blind.

The remaining advice regards to my stroke. When I master this new technique I could improve my time as much as 20%. Look out fish, there could be a new breed entering the waters.

Thursday 15/03/18

40 min cross trainer, 30 min indoor rower, weights

Friday 16/03/18

40 min cross trainer, 30 min indoor rower, weights

Saturday 17/03/18

Swim 60 x 50m (3000km)

Question for the experts. When I swim I don’t use my legs. So, why at the end of each swim my legs feel like they have just completed a marathon run?

Sunday 18/03/18

Body is screaming out for a rest. So, a day off to recover a little.
