Darrell's Swim for the Child & Family Unit at Starship

I am swimming the Harbour Crossing to fundraise for the unit that supported us during my son's battle with anorexia at Starship Hospital

Auckland

I am raising money to donate to The Starship Foundation, specifically the Child and Family Unit that were very supportive during our son's battle with anorexia, a battle that we lost three years and six months ago.

I have chosen to swim in the Harbour Crossing event which will be raced on the 3rd of December. The race is 2.7 kilometres, starting in the viaduct and finishing in Bayswater on the north shore.

I hope to complete the swim in about 1 hour, I will post my time after the event, this is the first time that I have tried anything like this, but the concept of "give a little" is a great way to donate to the special people who look after our kids when they are at their most vulnerable.

Please forward this page to your friends as every little bit helps
