Otago

Kia Ora koutou,

I’m Dave from Oranga Tamariki, my role is about connecting to whānau to try improve outcomes when things are not so good.

My whakapapa is Taranaki, Tainui and Whānganui, I have three kids and two moko all in Australia. I have been here in Otago for some time with my wife Kathryn and her twins. I keep active playing touch for Otago Masters and also teach Oamaru stone carving to mostly Rangatahi. Huge league fan and follow the WAHS, up the Wahs!

I am a big believer in education in whatever way that looks and totally support the Kaupapa of Southern Youth Development in alternative education and that is why I am taking this challenge to help bring more awareness to alternative education and the mahi that Southern Youth Development do.
