Fundraising for Auckland Hospital Foundation

Auckland

Mum doesn’t want any presents for her birthday, but instead she is suggesting in lieu of presents we donate to the Auckland Hospital Foundation Rise Scholarship Programme.

We think this is a pretty cool initiative.

This is their mission statement “With your support, we fund projects that fall outside the scope of government funding at Auckland City Hospital and its associated sites. We’re on a mission to help aspiring nurses and midwives, overcome the obstacles they face while studying. You can support students through our Rise scholarship programme, which sees 99% of them successfully complete their degree.”

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
