Help raise funds towards sports gear for kids at Samoa's Samoa Victim Support so they can be active, have fun, and develop holistically.

International

This year, I will be volunteering in Samoa as a Sports Development Assistant with Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG). SVSG is a proactive non-governmental organisation which provides the only safe haven for survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and other forms of violence. The Campus of Hope is a long-term temporary home for women and children aged 0-25 who can no longer live with their families.

With very limited resources, there is limited knowledge and engagement of physical education. Physical activity is associated with lower rates of stress, anxiety, depression, and suicidal behaviour, and can also be used as a tool for social, physical, affective, mental, and personal development. Therefore, by implementing physical and health education, I hope to positively impact the children and bring them the much needed support and restoration in their lives.

Your donation will go towards sports gear which will be used during our physical education sessions and kept for the children at the Campus of Hope. With sports gear, the kids will be able to engage in a range of games and physical activity, enabling them to have fun, be active, learn, and positively impact their wellbeing.

Every little donation counts and is much appreciated!
