Celebrate Doug turning 40 by helping refugees and displaced communities impacted by the global COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.
International
Friends, family and anyone else who wants to join in this effort - Doug is turning 40 in a few weeks on May 17th!
To celebrate this special birthday, we'd like nothing more than to have your help in the efforts that are consuming his days at the moment - Partners Relief & Development's efforts to support refugee and displaced communities in Myanmar, Bangladesh and Thailand impacted by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
We know it is a tough time for so many around the world, and the communities we are supporting are suffering too. There are now daily queues in the middle of our city that stretch more than 2km of people hoping to receive free meals. These communities in Chiang Mai are struggling without the weight of conflict and displacement that is carried by the communities where we focus our help. Food prices have escalated, many are out of work and that is without any significant COVID outbreaks. We fear what will happen if that comes, especially in camps where conditions are overcrowded with little options for social distancing.
If you have a little (or a lot) to spare, please know that it will go far and make a real tangible difference. The Partners team has already distributed more than 23,000 masks in the past few weeks (with 790 sewn by migrant women that our team have trained) as well as COVID prevention educations, food packs, hand sanitiser and more...
Our family is in Thailand hands on helping with these relief efforts. We love this org and the people we get to help - Partners is making a real difference in meeting COVID-19 needs as part of the global response for an unprecedented crisis.
