Southland
Many of our young people face various challenges every day. Support our youth by getting behind our ‘bosses’ as they tackle their own challenge of being ‘dropped’ (abseiled) from the training tower at the Invercargill Fire Station on Jed Street on the 3rd of December 2016.
All money raised will go towards delivering Graeme Dingle Foundation programmes, Kiwi Can and Career Navigator, delivered to over 1,800 Southland students every week.
At the Graeme Dingle Foundation we believe it is important that we not only do good, but that we can also prove the difference we make within the youth of New Zealand . Our programmes change lives and are informed by best-practice research.
With our university research partners we know our programmes;
- Improve attitudes and behaviour,
- Improve academic results,
- Help young people set and achieve their goals
- Boost self-confidence,
- Reduce truancy rates and at risk behaviours: such as substance abuse,
- Help young people feel more positive about the future.
You too can be part of that change and help the young people of Southland.
We're involved in Drop Your Boss because we know the importance of the work the Graeme Dingle Foundation does with youth in Southland. Learning life skills and developing confidence in our young people is so important, so I hope you’ll back us and sponsor the awesome work the foundation does with local youth.
Drop Your Boss Southland will dare ‘droppers’ to plummet off the Invercargill Fire Station's tower to support our awesome values programmes
