Dry July for the Champion Centre. Supporting early intervention for children with developmental delays
Canterbury
This year I decided to do Dry July but I want to raise money for something close to my heart. The Champion Centre is an early intervention service in Christchurch for children with developmental challenges. This service provides many children and families with the support they need for children to reach their full potential. This includes my precious nephew Elijah who has a genetic condition called Dravet Syndrome.
The Champion Centre is partially government funded but has a shortfall of $7000 per child. I'm giving up alcohol for July to try to raise enough for one child to get the life changing support they need.
one week to go! 25 July 2022
woohoo it's the home stretch! Thank you all so much. I know the Champion Centre will really appreciate all your generous donations so they can continue the important work they do. I would encourage you all to continue to support smaller charities like this, as they often don't get the publicity and therefore support of the more well known charities and causes.
Thanks Kevin! Elijah is a trouper!
Thanks Sherideen! i made it!
