Hi everyone!
This September, I’m running the Dunedin Half Marathon to raise funds and awareness for Crohn’s & Colitis - two chronic illnesses that affect thousands of New Zealanders.
I was diagnosed with Colitis in 2022, and since then, managing symptoms and accessing the right care has been an ongoing struggle. It’s not something I often talk about, but living with a chronic illness can be incredibly challenging, especially when it limits your ability to be active and live life the way you used to. Completing a half marathon will be a significant personal milestone, and running it for Crohn's and Colitis will be a huge motivator.
The Crohn's & Colitis Charitable Trust is an organisation which has helped so many patients and families affected, including me. Last year, I was fortunate to receive part of their tertiary scholarship, which helped ease some of the pressures of studying with a chronic condition. Now, I’d love the chance to give back and support their work for others like me.
By running for this cause, I hope to help break the stigma around these conditions, raise awareness, and support the charity in continuing to improve the lives of those affected 💜

Today, I ran the half marathon in 2:02:36💜 I was so proud to be running for such an amazing cause & it definitely motivated me through the intense headwinds!! Thank you everyone for all your endless support & I was so lucky to have friends & family supporting me out on the course 🏃♀️💟
