Dylan is raising funds for the charities that helped him, by running one hell of a distance for any 12 year old, transplant or not!

This time it's Dylan!

Dylan has decided to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of his bonemarrow transplant by taking on one almighty challenge for a 12 year old, the Taupo Ultramarathon's 24KM distance, and in doing so, raising money for some of the charities that helped him (and us) along the way of his leukemia journey.

He's been determined in training, and dragging the dog along with him over the hills of Wellington in readiness for this challenge.

(The good people of the Taupo Ultra have also made a special allowance for him to enter this event, him being 12, not 16!)

We're super-proud of him in doing this too!

Done it!  11 October 2025

He did it. He even just came in under the 4 hour target we had... to also take out the 3rd place in the U20M Category! so yes, he did indeed rock Taupo!
