Nationwide
We have a responsibility to care for Canterbury's resources and achieve a sustainable environment. That's why it is important that Hector's dolphins continue to live in Akaroa and around Christchurch.
Environment Canterbury is supporting Aescleah Hawkins, the Avonside High School student who has walked for Hector’s to raise awareness and much needed funding for increased protection of the Hector’s dolphin. Councillors Jane Demeter and Eugene Sage and Resilience Unit Manager Bill Simpson joined Aescleah on the 3-day walk from Lyttleton to Akaroa on 4, 5 and 6 March, 2010.
